This makes it possible to run a normal household without any problems. If, exceptionally, too much electricity is consumed during prolonged bad weather, a 5 kW emergency generator is available.
Water is supplied via six so-called ‘water shares’, which can be purchased separately and are sufficient for both garden irrigation and drinking water requirements. This is gallery water from the caldera in the best mineral water quality. The portion intended for domestic use is stored in hygienic stainless steel containers, while the portion for garden irrigation is stored in a 10 x 4.5 m open water basin, which can also be used as a natural swimming pool. Domestic water is also heated by solar energy with gas support for emergencies.
Access is via a well-paved side road, and there is a fibre optic cable at the property boundary, so high-speed internet access can be easily established.
The property was completely renovated in 2010 and is in good condition.
