The villa, with its many deep ground glas and burglar-proof double-glazed windows, is situated in a very quiet position at only 217 m above sea level on the outskirts of Breña Baja. The short distance to the sea, to the island capital Santa Cruz and to the airport is ideal for people who like to go for a stroll or a swim and want to arrive and depart more often. The flight noises are very quiet and not disturbing.
The house was completely renovated and extended in 2005/2006 and today accommodates a large living room with a semi-open access to a winter garden with a Canarian-style, completely glazed roof truss with shading, a spacious kitchen, a bathroom and a bedroom on 129 m² of floor space. Especially the bedroom and the winter garden offer a wonderful view to the Atlantic Ocean, the bay of St. Cruz and Spain's highest mountain, the Teide on the neighbouring island Tenerife, as well as the island La Gomera.
On the east side of the house there is a partly covered terrace for the morning coffee in the first morning sun, on the south side a large, completely covered terrace, which can be used on three sides closed in almost any weather extensively and is used by the current owners predominantly as a living area. Opposite this terrace is the outdoor kitchen, almost obligatory on La Palma, for cosy barbecues with family and friends.
The east terrace was designed with a small garden pond, a very large pond with shallow water area is equipped with a circulation pump and a waterfall and could also be used with little effort as a swimming pond or converted into a pool.
The well ingrown garden accommodates a workshop building with light dome and sufficient parking space for two cars. The property is completely enclosed and equipped with an electric gate which can be opened by remote control. In front of the gate there is a guest car park.
For the very few cold days in the year at this low sea level there is a cosy fireplace with glass door and warm air shaft and in the bathroom an electric floor heating available. A gas central heating system has been installed, but was shut down by the current owners due to a lack of necessity and partly dismantled for aesthetic reasons. It could be put back into operation by simple means, but is superfluous for people with normal temperature feelings.
The house can be reached via a narrow but well asphalted public road and has no neighbouring houses in the immediate vicinity. Of course, it is connected to the public electricity, mains water and telephone networks, internet connection is possible. The furniture has been renewed in the meantime, so that our photos are currently not up to date. The furniture is included in the purchase price.
